Fabrics, GCSE final
My work with reflections inspired me to explore in depth the subtle changes in colour that lighting can produce. A simple fuchsia dress is dramatically transformed by the rays of the sunset on a winter afternoon. My main focus in this project was the effect produced by light on the folds of fabric and clothes.

Amalgamating my work on portraiture, reflections, and light and contrast, I decided to paint a self-portrait wearing an intense crimson red dress as a final project for my GCSE. This piece encapsulates a lengthy but fascinating exploration of different approaches, techniques and observations.
